I grew up playing soccer my entire childhood, and my family and I were big skiers and snowboarders. Once I graduated from high school, I felt like I had lost a lot of the fitness I had gained from playing soccer, and I could never quite get into a workout routine that I enjoyed or would stick to.
Then I had a friend invite me to CrossFit, my first workout I remember was on 9/11, so naturally it was some crazy CrossFit workout x10. I remember the coach (who is still now a good friend of mine) scaling the workout back for me a bunch, and it still being just absolutely terrible. But - I was hooked, and I’ve been at it ever since.
I love the workouts, I love that it’s always different, and once you start getting stronger/faster, you add more weight or reps, and you just continue to push and challenge yourself. What I love even more is the community. I’ve made so many friends that are near and dear to my heart over the years, and I wouldn’t trade any of them for the world!
CrossFit has been such a blessing for both my physical and mental health, and I love the chance to introduce it to others and see them fall in love with it like I did.
I am passionate about the people! Nothing is better than seeing someone achieve something they didn’t think they’d ever be able to do, and just seeing that confidence in themselves grow with every win they get! People are capable of so much more than they think, and it’s so fun to be able to have the opportunity to encourage and create an environment where they are able to do so.
